Viewing Residential Property – restrictions lifted !
There has been an amendment to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020, yesterday evening, meaning that traveling can now be undertaken between properties, including the viewing of residential properties for sale and rental.
We understand an announcement later today will confirm that Estate Agents and Letting Agents can return to work with immediate effect.
The amendment reads :
(v) for sub-paragraph (l), substitute—
“(l) to undertake any of the following activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting or rental of residential property—
(i) visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes;
(ii) viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or rent;
(iii) preparing a residential property to move in;
(iv) moving home;(v) visiting a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property;”;
We understand the housing Secretary will make an announcement to confirm the Covid-19 safe guidelines, to protect agents and applicants that need to enter and show properties.
We will incorporate these guidelines at Greenstone and continue our best practice, with all staff wearing masks and gloves when meeting the public and now when showing any property. Only staff that need to be office based will return with the remaining continuing to work remotely.
This is excellent news for the housing market and all the 100’s of registered applicants we have on our books waiting to view properties.
We are also now able to visit, photograph and appraise property.
Our lines are open to make appointments – please call on 020 7625 1000 or 0207 7625 7000
With best regards
